Aerosols - Self Titled (2006)

From last.fm:

"A Western Massachusetts hardcore supergroup that barely exists, yet covertly exerts a ruinous influence upon your life. Best known for their scarce, pricey, short vinyl releases courtesy of New York’s Youth Attack Records and the occasional live disaster, this four-piece exercises all the intricacy and emotional sensitivity of a pandemic. Members can also be found wasting their time in ensembles such as Ampere, Wasteland, SQRM, and Hoax."

For some reason it never hit me to look around Youth Attack!'s distro when it comes to finding bands. I'm glad I did because this beauty would have gone without being noticed. Aerosols are have a lot more hardcore approach when it comes to powerviolence meaning to say there's more structure to their songs. Sure, it may still have that 50 second power chord or whatever but you can actually make out what they're shouting. Being as it's a super group, this band has a lot of expectations of what their sound is supposed to be and I think I live up to all the hype. Casual powerviolence and hardcore fans should definitely consider downloading this album.
