Pedals On Our Pirate Ships / The Wild - Split (2010)

From The Punk Site:

"Richmond folk rock act Pedals On Our Pirate Ships and Atlanta folk punk band The Wild have released a split album together. The album can be purchased at Side Jar Records. The Wild will be performing at this year’s “The Fest” in Gainesville, Fl. Afterwards, both bands will be touring together during the month of November as part of the Side Jar Records tour."

So I've uploaded Pedals On Our Pirate Ships and The Wild but now here they BOTH are with a newly released split back in the summer of 2010. Pedals On Our Pirate Ships takes a more poppy stance on this album with such tracks as Broken Chameleon (which mentions The Replacements and Ramones) and even naming a track entitled Pop-punk Momento. Oh and they do a cover of The Wild's "We'll Drive These Warlords Out" and it's damn good! The Wild have always had always had a nice, lovely, warm, pop feel to them which made them very easy to listen to and they're back to show us that. Like their brethren in the Atlanta folk punk scene, The Wild bust out the banjos and harmonicas and easy-listening lyrics to provide for an overall welcoming feel. Overall, the album is filled with rich warm melodies and will have you listening over and over again, eventually singing along to every track.
