"Koalacaust is a band that started in Santa Monica, CA as three best friends, and since then expanded into a five-piece. Their music is composed of various loud instruments. They have played shows with the likes of Paul Baribeau, Good Luck, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Broadway Calls, and Mischief Brew. Recently relocating to the Bay Area, they continue to make music and tour as much as possible."
What happens when you mix the light poppy sound of The Wild, throw in some Tom Gabel-like lyrics and Blackbird Raum instrumentals?!?! Well, this is the result! Hailing from the Bay Area, Koalacaust deliver with a poppy but very raw folk punk sound that is appealing to fans of both sides of the folk punk world. Not to mention the accordion is present in every track, the instrumentals on this band are really something else. It just makes you want to get up and dance!
