Rosa Parks - Black Is The Color Of Bondage, Blue Is The Past (2010)

From last.fm:

"Rosa Parks is a Hungarian post-rock band from Győr."

It always seems like I'm listening to post-rock when I'm in the shittiest of moods. The weather outside has been nasty all day and it's cold as fuck. I've had a cold for about a week now and today is the worst it has been. I'm literally just sitting in this chair, slouched over with my head buried in my heads and in my blanket. It's times like this bands like Rosa Parks keep me going because I honestly don't know what I'd do without them. Maybe I'm just gullible so any form of music will soothe me? Hell, I was even listening to Candlemass earlier with not a care in the world about anything. Rosa Parks are more than some generic post-rock band. Sure, their foundation may be found upon crescendos after crescendos but they're very light and crisp crescendos. They don't miss a single strum. The building climaxes are pretty spacey and light and don't pummel you with sheer sound or anything heavy. The more and more I induldge into this style of post-rock makes me question how beautiful sounds can come out of such an instrument. A guitar may be just a guitar to some people but to Rosa Parks it's a tool. It's a tool and an expansion of your mind. It's a creative tool and how you use it is solely up to you. With that being said, check out these bad asses use what's giving them to expand on their emotions and minds to blow you away.
