The Boilers - Rockin' Steady (1988)
(1988Before King Django was known for being the frontman of Skinnerbox and Murphy's Law, he was in a band called The Boilers. They played a nice refreshing taste of ska, soul, and reggae. What I love about The Boilers is the fact that they were very different in their day by combining all these different sounds, not to mention to one of their songs was very rap sounding and one was very Rolling Stones-esque. If you're looking to take a break from the tradition ska/reggae sound and looking for something more experimental, than let this album be your guide.
Labels:
2-tone,
