Mogli - Kdaavris Kinder (2011)

Mogli are an acoustic one man band from Halifax, Canada whom I found via http://diyhalifax.blogspot.com/ My friend Celeste, who played in a few bands back in Halifax and lived there for quite awhile, hooked me up with this blogspot after briefly speaking to her. I told her I was a big fan of Fairy Boy and she proceeded to tell me that the owner of the website, Ryley, was actually the person behind the alias Fairy Boy which blew me away. I had been listening to Fairy Boy for awhile now and to hear this really just had me more and more interested in the blog and the whole Canadian DIY folk punk scene. I just recently picked up Mogli (as in today haha) and I instantly fell in love. He's been touring around with other bands but he decided to put out a solo album. The vocals are very light and catchy but also have that very distinct voice with great melodies that will have you feeling very warm inside. It's hard to describe how I feel when listening to his material because it's just really really really unique that I can't describe. It's loud but yet so emotional at the same time.
