Deathchurch - Paranoid Destruktion Demo (2004)

From last.fm:

"Deathchurch is a raw / lo-fi black metal band from Japan with several demo tapes and a vinyl release on Nuclear War Now / Klaxon Records."

It's not every day you hear a Japanese black metal band. I mean honestly, when you think of black metal do you think of Japan? Hells to the no. Unless you thinking of one of the best Japanese black metal bands of course... You do know right? I hope you know who Sigh is because otherwise you mind as well exempt yourself from ever listening to black metal again. On that note, I think Ghastly Funeral Theatre totally kicks Imaginary Sonicscape. Problem? You can get the FUCK out. Haha. But yeah, Deathchurch are a raw black metal band from Japan band as stated above. There isn't anything that makes this demo superior to any of their other releases besides the fact that it's probably the one of the better produced demos, which can be either a good or bad thing depending on how you like your metal. Obviously you're not going to be picking this up for sound quality because it's pretty fucking raw for what it's worth. Oh and one of the tracks is Deathcrush, a notable and probably the most well-known song by the infamous occult black metal band Mayhem. All in all, the album is pretty catchy despite the lo-fi recording and is almost thrashy at times. I wouldn't let this gem go undetected, especially for black metal enthusiasts.
